Our Work

Villagers Media Productions is an independent Canadian television and internet streaming production company based in Toronto, Canada. Since 1990, we have worked with more than three dozen Canadian civil society organizations (non-governmental organizations, faith-based groups), along with academic and faith-based advisors, on educational video and TV projects. We have specialized in spiritually themed media projects concerning the environment, interfaith movements, women, gender, world cultures, international community development.

Now Villagers refocuses its long history of co-producing on spiritual issues underlying the environmental crisis, working with experts of all faiths and no faith, to explore scriptural texts and practices of all faiths, and asking where religions have contributed to the crisis and where they now offer ancient-to-modern times answers to help everyone in the world understand and resolve the present crisis.

Thirty-Five Years of Business

For 35 years, Villagers has worked with some of Canada’s top non-profit organizations with a wide variety of project genres and outcome goals.
We have produced for tiny soup kitchen organizations – and helped them raise the funds to pay for the production. We have produced multi camera mega situations: at the Dome in downtown Toronto, at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.

We regularly produce music performances, either in the studio or on remote locations.

For 35 years, we have produced a weekly prayer and hymn TV program that is supported by its viewers.
